Toni: ”Hello may I speak with Natasha, this is Toni, Mayor Owens assistant.” Natasha: Hello Toni, this is Natasha l, how can I help you?” Toni: “Mayor Owens would like for you to introduce her at the #MLKbreakfast on Monday at the MacRay Harbor in Macomb Michigan.“
”I would be honored.“
OMG ladies & gentleman I had no idea what I would say to this audience. This is indeed a county that has NEVER had African American representation of this magnitude 😳 Could you imagine how I felt....then I thought forget about me ...How did Martin Luther King feel speaking to a nation!! This is were I gain courage to speak how he spoke, WITH LOVE! I begin to read the Bible and approach my God for approval and the words To express how he feels about the HUMAN RACE! It was definetely challenging considering the racial opposition that the county has faced for decades. I’m happy that finally, Thank God Almighty the change finally came!!! Anyhow here’s a few clips:
